Heyy guys, while all of you are wondering whether you need to do how many essays for your LA holiday assignment, just to let you know that I've asked Ms Christine Teo and she said that we just need to do one! *applauses* :DD

Hellos! (: Due to the overwhelming response from people who said that they have misplaced their assignment handouts, I've decided to post the Lang Arts and HCL holiday homework on the class blog!

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS ASSIGNMENT

Write an essay or story between 500 and 700 words which explores the topic in an interesting or relevant way.

1. Your assignment is to interview an animal for your local newspaper or radio station. Send us the transcript of your interview.

2. What three plants or trees are most important for life in your country? Why?

3. What I don't want to do when I'm grown up.

4. A distant cousin who lives in a very different Commonwealth country is coming to visit for the first time. Write a letter introducing yourself and your home.

5. Write a story about the sea or a mountain or both.

6. Over half of the 1.8 billion people in the Commonwealth are aged 25 or under. What changes in your country would enhance the living of young people?

7. 'The Beautiful Game': Why does football inspire such passion around the world?

You are encouraged to illustrate your essay or story either by hand or by using computer generated images and photographs, provided the illustrations are relevant to the subject-matter
and do not detract from the writing.

Hmm...I'm not quite sure if you need to do all of the essays or just need to choose one, but according to my understanding, you just need to choose one. Whees!~

CLASS CHALET
basically, we will only BBQ for the first night.
For the other meals, you all will have to settle them yourself.
We will be eating Instant noodle (SIGH PATHETIC) due to financial problem.
LOLS
For those who dont wanna eat instant noodle,
Settle your meal at the nearby hawker centre, at your own expense
We will be watching movie at night/midnight (:
with packets of snacks in our hands.
and for the other activities,
you all can choose to go Escape Theme Park
and the rest, we will decide later on.

Update on WHAT TO BRING:
1) MONEY! $$$$
2) Clothing - for those who are staying overnight, pls bring more. MAX. 4 sets. DONT BRING TOO MUCH
3) Toothpaste, toothbrush
4) Tower - 1 is enough. MAX. 2
5) Sleeping bag - FOR THOSE WHO ARE STAYING OVERNIGHT, optional though, you can sleep on the floor (That's what i plan to do)
6) Electrical appliances (OPTIONAL)
7) Other means of ENTERTAINMENT
8) Instant noodle (IF YOU'RE EATING THEM FOR MEAL)
